František Janovský
*1893 at Prášily, +1945 in Hluboká nad Vltavou
In 1912 he was admitted to schwarzenberg services as a forest aspirant to the Poněšice district. He lived through the First World War on the front until 1919. After the war he worked first at the forest office in Hluboká and also in Český Krumlov. Later, he was appointed head of the Ohrada Forestry and Hunting Museum and in 1937 he was promoted to the Chief Forest Administrator. In 1939, at the instigation of Prince A. Schwarzenberg, the Ohrada Zoo opened for the public thanks to him.
