Schwarzenberg forester. In 1785, he was appointed forest engineer and in 1788, he was promoted to riding hunter. The founder of a forestry school in the Zlatá Koruna monastery and forest nurseries for the practical teaching of forestry adepts (one of them was also established in Bližší Lhota, or near Želnava). He arranged not only princely forests in a total area of about seventeen and a half thousand hectares, but also several municipal forests, for example in Chvalšiny. He is the author of preparatory work for the construction of the Schwarzenberg canal and the Classic Textbook of Forestry.
